About One Image Charity
Harnessing the dynamic nature of photography, One Image Charity seeks to raise awareness of the embattled street children of the Philippines and Haiti. One Image works with amazingly talented people in the photo industry and will host a silent auction for landmark images.
Taking place both online at www.oneimagecharity.com and a silent auction event on May 28 2009 in NYC, the auction was comprised of photographs donated by top commercial photographers around the world, including Barron Claiborne, Carlton Davis, Christian Witkin, Cleo Sullivan, Diego Uchitel, Michael Thompson and Torkil Gudnason.
Proceeds from the sale of the photographs and limited prints will go directly to making a difference in the lives of the children of the Philippines and Haiti.

One Image Charity:
Founded in New York City by John Kunichika (johnkunichika.com), Stephan Moskovic (Models.com) and Keiko Shimizu (keikorepresents.com) influential players in the photography and design industries, One Image seeks to harness the creativity of the image world for the benefit of young children abroad who also want to grow up and create beautiful works. With a focus on the children of The Philippines and Haiti, with whom the founder of the charity has personally lived amongst, One Image will make a difference through auctions and events for the creative set.
All proceeds will go to Little Children of the World.
Little Children of the World is a USA based not-for profit organization which was founded in 1987 in Atlanta, Georgia. The organization's purpose is to address the plight of street children in the developing world. (The Philippines since 1988 and Haiti more recently) They provide Health services, Services for children with disabilities, Low-cost housing, Education, Livelihood opportunities, Peace and Faith program and Orphanage to approximately 1,000 families and over 6,000 people living in Dumaguete City vicinity areas. Their funding comes primarily from private donors around the world. Keiko Shimizu, one of One Image Charity's founders spent a year volunteering in 1999 and has been volunteering and visiting since.
