Harvey Tulcensky is an artist living and working in New York. He is represented by the Edward Thorp Gallery in New York, and has shown at the Daniel Weinberg Gallery in Los Angeles where in 2003 he had a one-man show. Last year, his work was acquired by the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and has been included in various exhibitions in the United States, Europe and South America over the past 20 years. He is mostly known for his obsessive, abstract drawings and paintings, sometimes over existing photographic imagery. He has also shown a portfolio of idiosyncratic black and white photographs. Tulcensky has been collecting photo postcards for the past two decades, and has co-authored the book Real Photo Postcards, published by Princeton Architectural Press.
