Kate and Camilla met at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. They shared a camera during their time at college and then together they applied to graduate school. Both went to the Art Institute of Chicago. Once they were finished in Chicago they got up and moved to New York City. They started out by getting jobs, but soon after they quit and decided to start their own studio. Kate is from Bethlehem, PA and Camilla is from London England.
